Hammers
The hammer is the traditional tool used by mosaic artists and enthusiasts.
Using the hammer allows you to obtain precise tesserae with clean and sharp cuts.
It is made of hardened steel and can be equipped with one or two Widia (tungsten carbide) edges, a much harder type of steel.
Hammer with Widia on both sides: For cutting glass
Hammer with one Widia side and one steel side: For those who need to cut different materials and prefer to work using just one hammer
Hammer with steel edges on both sides: For cutting non-glass materials such as marble and stone
You can choose among 9 PROFESSIONAL models in different weights:
950 g: The most common choice among professional mosaicists
750 g: Lighter, reduces hand fatigue
450 g: Perfect for beginners or smaller hands, also suitable for children
The handle is specific to the hammer.
The 950 g and 750 g hammers are supplied with a removable handle.
The 450 g hammers are supplied with a fixed (non-removable) handle.
After inserting the handle, it may need to be shortened to fit the size of your hand, in order to achieve the correct balance while cutting.
You can follow the assembly instructions here: INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSERTING THE HANDLE
