TOOLS FOR MOSAICIST
The glass comes out in plates (round pizzas 30-40 cm of diameter) which are first cut with a CUTTER and broken with a PIN (otherwise you can use a floor tile's cutter) and then you can work with other tools to get smaller sizes or different shapes:
CHOPPING MACHINE It's a professional work tool also used by glass producers to get the most of the necessary sizes.
HAMMER It's made of hardened steel with or without widia edges (if you're working with the glass we recommend the one with the widia edges, a very hard steel). There are different weights: 450 grams, 750 grams, 950 grams. Generally the lightest hammer is used by the children, while the heaviest is the tool used by all professionals.
PIN It's made of hardened steel with or without widia edges (if you're using a hammer with widia edges it's better to use a normal pin). It must be fixed in a wooden base and used together with the hammer.
NIPPER It's useful to the cut of the tiles. There are two types of nippers: with widia edges or with widia wheels.
PLIERS It's useful to reposition the tiles.
